As a Travel Consultant, you’re at the forefront of the inspiring world of travel. Your main responsibility is to sell business and leisure travel to your clients, helping them to reach the destinations they want to experience as well as some others they perhaps hadn’t thought of. You will provide outstanding customer service while you manage every aspect of their trip, from organising flights to arranging visas. 

 
Through Flight Centre’s Learning Centre, you’ll learn about product offerings, complex airfares, and booking processes to ensure you become an expert in your field. You will also work closely with a range of suppliers within the travel industry, from airlines and accommodation providers to adventure tour companies and insurance brokers. 
 
You’ll be based in one of our high street stores across the UK, working within a small team to ensure you get the support you need to reach your full potential. 
 

What we’re looking for:

 
Our Travel Consultants come from a diverse range of backgrounds demonstrating a colourful spectrum of qualities and quirks. However, when looking for our future Travel Consultants the following traits are essential:
  
•  Sales skills and a target-driven, tenacious attitude
•  A strong academic background (ideally a degree) and business acumen
•  Experience of travelling on two continents outside of Europe
•  Exceptional communication skills  
 
Finally, ambition is a key ingredient. Prove yourself in the sales arena and you could lead your own store or take on a new challenge in the company’s global head office.
 

 

Drawing upon unsurpassable communication skills and a love of all things travel, our Business Travel Consultants build and manage a portfolio of corporate clients, each with a spend of between £5000 and £2M. 

This client portfolio essentially becomes your personal (and profitable) business. From booking flights and accommodation to arranging visas and travel insurance, you will ensure your clients’ travel plans run without a hitch.

This is primarily a phone-based role, however you’ll also be in continuous contact with our corporate sales teams and suppliers, from airlines to hotels, as you take care of your client’s travel arrangements.

 

What we’re looking for:

 
Our Business Travel Consultants are enthusiastic individuals with the ability to build lasting relationships with their clients. Specifically, you will need:
 
•  A minimum of one years experience in travel sales
•  An insatiable appetite for sales; after all, the more you sell, the more you earn
•  Outstanding people skills and an impressive client focus
•  Confidence when handling key accounts
 

 

Our Business Development Managers are on the frontline, winning new accounts, and bringing in the business for our corporate brands.

As a Business Development Manager you will gain a high level of autonomy as you source and secure new opportunities, developing an impressive network of clients. Your portfolio will become your personal (and profitable) business, which means only you will determine your earning potential. 

Our Business Development Managers are also supported by a team of Business Travel Consultants, so although travel experience is an advantage, your sales skills are the priority. 

What we’re looking for:

 
•  Proven ability to meet sales targets
•  A strong academic record
•  Ideally experience within the industry, however training will be provided.
